Data & Coverage
How far back does the data go?

Our BSP database covers greyhound races from January 2020 to the present day, with over 600,000 races and 4 million individual runner records. Data is updated daily each morning.

Which countries are covered?

We cover Great Britain (GBR), Australia (AUS) and New Zealand (NZL). All data is sourced from Betfair's historical price archive.

How often is the data updated?

Data is updated daily around 9am each morning.

Why does a dog show no stats in the race card?

If a runner shows dashes (—) in the stats columns, it means that dog has no recorded history in our BSP database. This is common for very young or recently imported dogs, or dogs racing under a slightly different name. The dog will appear in the stats once they've accumulated BSP race history.

Not all tracks appear in Today's Races — why?

Our race cards cover all UK and Australian tracks. If a track appears to be missing, this is likely caused by a temporary third-party data feed issue and should resolve during the morning.

Using the Platform
What's the difference between the System Builder and Bet Finder?

The System Builder is for backtesting — it runs your filter conditions against the full historical database and shows you P&L over time. Use it to find and validate profitable angles.

The Bet Finder is for today and tomorrow — it applies your filter conditions to the live race card and shows you which runners on today's or tomorrow's card match your criteria. Use it daily to find qualifying runners.

How are P&L figures calculated?

All P&L figures assume a flat £10 stake on every qualifying race. Back P&L (comm) deducts 2% Betfair commission from winning returns. Lay P&L assumes laying at BSP with the runner's starting price determining the liability.

These are theoretical figures based on BSP — actual results will vary depending on your staking and timing.

What does BSP Rank mean?

BSP Rank is a runner's position in the market based on their Betfair Starting Price. Rank 1 = the shortest-priced runner (favourite), Rank 2 = second favourite, and so on. In a 6-runner race, BSP Ranks run from 1 to 6.

Can I export data?

Yes — the Bet Finder has a CSV export button that downloads all matching runners. The System Builder drill-down also allows you to export individual day results.

Can I save my filters?

Yes — both the System Builder and Bet Finder have save and load functionality. Enter a name for your filter and click Save. Your saved filters are stored against your account and can be loaded at any time.

What is the Filter Analysis feature?

Filter Analysis is available in the System Builder after applying a filter. Click the Analysis button next to the Group by selector to open it.

It shows a cumulative P&L chart, Max Win/Losing Streak, Max Drawdown, Suggested Bank (3× drawdown), total P&L and ROI. Toggle between Back and Lay, switch between Flat Stake and Fixed Return/Liability staking, and adjust the stake amount to scale to your own bank.

What is Today's Dogs on the dashboard?

Today's Dogs shows every runner on today's race card with their full historical BSP stats in one sortable table — Strike Rate, Avg BSP, Back P&L, Back ROI, Lay P&L and Lay ROI. Filter by country, track or minimum runs to narrow down the list.

It's the quickest way to scan the whole day's card for historically interesting runners without building a filter.

Can I set Telegram alerts for my Bet Finder filters?

Yes — Telegram alerts are available in Beta. Save a Bet Finder filter, then enable alerts for it from the saved filters menu. You'll need to connect your Telegram account from My Account first.

Alerts are sent each morning at 9:30am with any runners matching your saved filters on that day's card.

Can I select multiple traps in the filters?

Yes — the Trap filter in both the System Builder and Bet Finder is a multiselect. Hold Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) to select multiple traps at once. For example, select Trap 1 and Trap 2 to filter for rails runners only.

What is the Pulse feature?

Pulse is a mean-reversion scanner that compares a dog's recent performance to its long-term average across different dimensions — track and trap, BSP rank, and grade. It identifies runners that are running significantly hotter or colder than their historical baseline, which can indicate regression to the mean opportunities.

Use the Quick Back and Quick Lay buttons to instantly surface today's most interesting angles.

What are the pace and speed filters?

Rolling Pace Rating (1–10) measures a dog's early pace based on GBGB sectional times — how quickly it covers the first section of the race. 10 = explosive early pacer, 1 = slow beginner. It's calculated as a rolling average of the dog's last 10 runs with valid sectional data, so it reflects their true pace profile at race time rather than a one-off performance.

Rolling Speed (km/h) measures the dog's overall race speed as a rolling average of their last 10 runs. Typical range is 50–63 km/h with an average around 57.8 km/h.

Both filters are available in the System Builder for backtesting and in the Bet Finder for finding today's qualifiers. Coverage is approximately 73% of UK races from 2020 onwards.

What does Grade Change mean?

Grade Change shows how many grades a dog has moved since their last run. Positive = stepped up in grade (harder race), negative = dropped down (easier), 0 = same grade. For example, a dog moving from A5 to A4 has a Grade Change of +1, while A3 to A5 would be -2.

Grade Change is only calculated within the same grade family (A, D, S, B grades). Cross-family moves return no value. It's available as a multiselect filter in both the System Builder and Bet Finder.

Why do some System Builder queries take a long time?

The System Builder queries a database of over 4 million race records. Broad queries with few filters (e.g. all favourites over 6 years) process a very large number of rows. Adding more specific filters will speed up results significantly.
